Natural gas is a clean and safe energy that is far less dangerous and volatile than gasoline, propane or butane, all of which are commonly used fuels. During the cooling process to LNG, the natural gas is also purified, removing such compounds as mercury, sulfur compounds, moisture, and heavy hydrocarbons which enhances its clean-burning properties. So, LNG is known as environmental friendly energy source. Pacific Oil & Gas Indonesia’s LNG projects will follow a process of environmental reviews by the Indonesian government, whereby the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) will be conducted. All necessary procedures will be carefully implemented to ensure compliance. Pacific Oil & Gas is committed to protect the environment and has a policy to utilize the best known technologies to reduce any impact to the atmosphere. We work closely with our partners to improve the environmental performance and continue to keep close relationship with the surrounding communities to share social benefits. To improve our environmental practices, benchmarking procedures against international standards will be followed.
